Tue 10/4/2022 16:06 Dear Faculty and Staff, We're reaching out to let you know the application for the Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship opens this Thursday, October 6, 2022. The last day to submit the completed application is January 12, 2023. This highly competitive scholarship targets top community college students seeking to complete their bachelor's degree. It's the largest private scholarship for community college transfer students in the country, awarding up to $55,000 per year to recipients. We're proud to remind you that last year yet another CCP student was chosen to receive this prestigious award. That makes six CCP Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship recipients in the past 10 years! We believe with your support we can have more scholarship winners this year. To be considered for the Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, students must: - Be a current student at an accredited U.S. community college or two-year institution with sophomore status (earned 30 credits or more) by January 1, 2023, or a recent graduate (since spring 2018). - Plan to enroll full-time in a baccalaureate program at an accredited college or university in fall 2023. - Have a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.5 or better on a scale of 4.0 (or the equivalent). - Demonstrate significant unmet financial need. The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation will consider applicants with family income up to $95,000. - Have not previously attended a four-year institution. Here's a couple of ways you can help. Please encourage outstanding students to visit www.JKCF.org and click on the Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship for more information on the scholarship and how to apply. Just as important, you can volunteer to help students with the essay requirement.
